New Year’s Resolutions – for Mom!

You might be busy making resolutions right now. Especially resolutions about how to manage your homeschool this year.

How about this as a Mom New Year's Resolution list: Wake, Move, Read, Write, Share! @hsbapost

But don’t forget about you – the mom and the blogger.

In addition to continuing the #12er “12 Habits in 12 Months” I started last year, I’m planning on doing the following everyday:

I’m going to set myself up for a fresh start every morning. This includes eating well the day before and getting a good night’s sleep.

I’ll also set up the coffee pot to automatically make some yummy java.

This starts with getting dressed to move and not changing clothes until I do.

Moving might be running (if it’s warm enough) or doing some pseudo-wii dancing using YouTube. But I’m going to get at least 13 minutes of moving in each day in 2013.

By golly I’m going to open that RSS reader that I’ve put tons of stuff in and take a gander. I’m going to know what’s happening in the world of math and learning – even if it’s just a little at a time.

I’m going to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and write something everyday. That may mean a post for my blog, a post for a blog I contribute to (like this one) or a guest post. I could also write a newsletter to go out to my email subscribers.

Since I’m reading and writing, I’m going to make sure to hit the social media sites and share! My focuses this year will be on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest. I’m going to be posting and pinning like crazy!

How about you? Can you sum up your year as a mom and a blogger in a list of verbs? Share in the comments – and don’t forget to tell others on twitter!
