FINALLY: Winners of the 2009 Homeschool Blog Awards!!!

Drum roll, please . . . the much-anticipated, patiently-patiently awaited results of the 2009 Homeschool Blog Awards are HERE!! And while we hate to do this to you, we must explain how a few of the results were computed:

As much as we would all like to believe that people will be above-board in nominating and voting for the awards, that wasn’t the case in quite a few polls. MOST people were honest and law-abiding, but as often happens, the actions of a few caused a lot of trouble (and a looong wait) for the majority. We would like to apologize for the delays that seem to have plagued this year’s awards. You can be sure that the final results are as accurate and professional as possible. We brought in an expert and his expensive poll software to make sure that only cheating votes were removed from the polls where they were found. In a few categories the winners won by just a few votes, and since the stakes were high and the prizes wonderful – we wanted to make extra SURE that the legitimate winner won!

Because a blog could win in only one category, there are some where the award went to the second-, or even third-place blog. The actual winner took the category that they had the MOST VOTES in. We had a total of 4 blogs that won multiple categories. What an honor! In the case of those winners, we have listed below the final winner who actually won in parentheses.

You have 7 days as of the posting of this list to claim your prizes with a simple email and address for prize delivery. If you don’t claim your prizes in a timely manner, the winnings will be dispersed to the next runner up. We will also do our best to try and contact you as well – don’t worry!

We will conduct a prize drawing as soon as we hear from you all and then we will pair you up with our amazing sponsors.

Winners, you can snag the button and put on your sidebar!

We still love you! Please feel free to wear your nominee badge with honor. It is just too bad that everyone couldn’t get the prizes, because in our book – you are all winners.

Without further ado, we present the…
