About Regina
Hello! My name is Regina and I am honored to be a part of The Homeschool Post Team. My family consists of seven children, ranging in age from 25 to 4 plus four grandchildren. The three older children are off living their adult lives, while the four younger boys are at home with me.
In 2007, I traded high-heeled pumps, business suits and a leather briefcase for sweats and jeans. For over twenty years, I chased the American dream, climbed the corporate ladder, all of the professional clichés you think of, I did it. But I realized something – money truly cannot buy happiness (another cliché!) Every day that I had to leave my boys with a sitter was like a dagger in the heart. Our family was drowning in misery. Something had to change and fast!
So, I began working from home and homeschooling the boys. At first I thought I was insane to even try to do this by myself but I found out I was not alone. My mom has stepped in to show my son how to write a research paper and I found out my dad is a math whiz (it’s amazing what you learn!)
When I am not opening my dog-eared Bible for my daily dose of guidance and common sense, I love to watch British sitcoms, read autobiographies and renovate my home. On Sundays during the fall months, you can catch us rooting for our favorite football teams. I am beginning to do some freezer cooking and I would love some recipes!
I can honestly say my life has taken on new meaning since we began our homeschooling journey. And that is no cliché.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. — 3 John 4
Peace and love to all,
