November is the season of harvest and thanks, leaves and pumpkins, cider and spice. I know more than a few homeschool families who are counting down the days until there’s a much needed break in the normal routine; when they will take time for feasting and fellowship with family and friends.
How do you teach your kids to count their blessings and begin a habit of praise?
Here’s a little poem to get you in the the “November” mood:
Thou hast given so much to me,
Give one thing more, – a grateful heart;
Not thankful when it pleaseth me,
As if Thy blessings had spare days,
But such a heart whose pulse may be Thy praise.
Happy Thanksgiving month, from all of us at the Homeschool Post!

Thank you to our photographer, Sasisekar Bhattar, this month that took this fabulous picture of a park bench surrounded by autumn glory. Be sure to click over to his Flickr account to tell him how stunning it is! I love it when people share their art with us, so we can admire it each month as we count our days down.
