Trick to Get Your Pots and Pans Clean Easily!

The product above is not one you would find in my laundry room.  I don’t use softener sheets or softener.  I might use vinegar in the wash if I remember, but I’ve never used a softener and I don’t know why.  However this product can be found in my kitchen.

I am a dishwasher LOVER.  I did not have one for 4+years, and with a family of 6, I did a lot of dishes.  This past summer though I found one on Craigslist and sacrificed a cabinet to have one again.  Oh how I love that machine.  Definitely my favorite appliance.  There are some things that still need to be washed by hand or those that the dishwasher just won’t really get clean no matter how many times I put it through a cycle. *wink*

A friend told me about this trick and I didn’t believe her…. seemed too easy.  But ladies, it worked!!!  I’m so excited.

All you need is a pan that has stuck on food and a sheet of softener.  Fill the pan with water and place one sheet in the water and, my favorite part, WALK AWAY.  Come back a few hours later, or the next day and you will be able to whip the pan clean.  So cool and so my kind of labor.  Yes, I am THAT kind of housekeeper… minimalist or teach my children to do it.

Give it a try the next time you have a  pan that needs some elbow grease.  I’m sure you’ll love it too!
