Mother's Day with the Family at the High Museum of Art

by Dawn on May 14, 2010

One of the most lovely things about Mother’s Day is getting to pick what your family does for the afternoon, and no one is allowed to complain. It’s your day, right? In their defense, my bunch was thrilled to use our new family membership to the High Museum in Atlanta for the first time.

I would tell you what this means, but then I would have to pretend I know. She wrapped the thing around her head for the picture. What can I say? Kids are strange sometimes.

This creative kids area, the Green Family Learning Gallery is a fabulous addition to the museum.

I was also lucky enough to enjoy an art museum for Mother’s Day. I went to the Musee D’Orsay in Paris! My husband took the kids to a park nearby and they met me after I spent a few hours all by myself studying the magnificent art! What a treat, to see such a wonderful museum and then share it with them too!

Oh Dawn, I just love the lighting and colors in all of the pictures! So fresh and perfect.

My Mother’s Day– went to church early to practice a song and get ready for my Sunday School class; church; lunch at a friend’s house; Sonic with my boys to get malts and shakes for dessert (David was working); church again; home.. jiggity jig! :)

It was good. Every day with my family is a gift!

We love The High, have been a couple of times when we are in that neck of the woods. It is always great to come across another blogger that lives in Georgia.
Blessings
Diane
