Hi! I’m Anna!
I am just thrilled to be joining the team as an Author of the HSBA Post. Allow me to introduce myself. I am a Christian, God-loving woman from the Bible Belt! I am the wife of a wonderful man, and the homeschooling mother to 4 incredible children. They are currently 3 through 11 years of age.
We live in Southern suburbia. I love learning with my kids! We often homeschool in interesting places, such as the park, by a creek, outside on a picnic blanket, or the local coffee house! I stay busy, because bad things happen when I get bored! I am the Author of a product review blog, MingleOverMocha.com. I am also the owner of a Marketing and PR firm, Vineyard Marketing. Also, I am the Associate Broker for a real estate company. You will often find me showing houses, with all 4 of my kids in the car watching their History lesson on CD! We live by whatever works! I get through my days with the help of God, coffee and chocolate!
My favorite thing about homeschooling is watching my children absorb the truth. They have memorized many Bible verses, and I am always so encouraged when I see them applying the verses to life situations! If we teach our children to make their decisions based upon Truth, they can walk with confidence!
In our homeschool, we use mostly classical curricula, but from many different sources. Everything I teach is Biblical, and creation-based. We are learning Japanese together as our foreign language.
My husband and I have been married for over 12 years, and they have been some of the best years of my life. I am blessed with a very supportive and loving family, and a God whose love knows no end.
You’ll never find me doing things the conventional way. That is one of the reasons that this is my favorite Bible verse: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2

It’s nice to meet you online. I have four children as well, with similar ages (14 down to 3 years). It’s been a blessing to find this homeschooling page! I look forward to reading more entries in the future! I am also a blogger in my spare time.
