The Homeschool Toolbar

I’ve been hearing fabulous reports about The Homeschool Toolbar, but quite frankly didn’t really want to add anything that would consume any of the main screen area on my laptop. So I never downloaded it. Never mind that it’s FREE. Never mind that many of my cyber homeschool friends LOVE it. Then our fearless leader here at The Homeschool Post, Heather, asked if someone would review it. Of course, I promptly ignored her email because sometimes I’m silly and stubborn like that. No matter how useful and wonderful, I wanted my screen space, thankyouverymuch.

Fast forward to this week. Heather’s still asking, I’m still hearing kudos, and I do have a day to post this week. Alrighty then. Homeschoolers (and my laptop), prepare to meet a new toolbar. Not just any toolbar. This is THE HOMESCHOOL TOOLBAR. The all-in-one, family-friendly, super helpful and organized toolbar. So give us the details, you say? Stop with all this nonsensical rambling, as if we really care about all the pre-toolbar thoughts you’ve had, you moan?

Oh, all right.

The Homeschool Toolbar will:

  • Give you links to some awesome homeschool, money-saving, photo, shopping, and parenting sites
  • Provide links for cool and groovy sites related to the current holiday/occasion
  • Search the internet, powered by Google
  • Check ALL your email accounts and notify when you receive new messages
  • Give you the current weather – for your location
  • Offer up a to-do list, calendar, note page, calorie calculator, regular calculator, and a link for travel plans
  • Allow you to listen to music – Christmas-themed is the name of the game right now
  • Give you quick access to every social media/bookmarking site you could ever want – Facebook, Twitter, Delicious, YouTube, Digg, LinkedIn, and scads more!
  • Give you some games for those much-needed breaks
  • Let you customize the toolbar even further. Just in case all of this isn’t enough.

And it’s ALL IN ONE CONVENIENT PLACE! Does it get any better than that?!?

Well, of course, it does – let’s not forget that all-important issue of internet security. The Homeschool Toolbar is free of spyware or viruses, doesn’t open pop-ups or hijack your searches. It also allows you to control your privacy features such as cookies and cache from the toolbar and doesn’t even ask you for ANY personal information.

How could anyone NOT download this amazing and free toolbar? Well, besides me, of course. Although it appears that the Homeschool Toolbar has just earned itself a nice, cozy home on my laptop.

Get this toolbar. Now. You’ll thank me later. Really, you will. Or perhaps you’ll thank the amazing creators. Either way, it will help you live a more efficient and organized cyber life. Go forth and click away!

Oh, you probably want a link, don’t you? Here it is. Right here. Click it. Do it now. Chop chop.

btw, it’s a nice, slim toolbar and really didn’t take that much of my screen space.

My one question and what keeps me from downloading it is that I don’t want it to replace my current toolbar. Does it do that? I’ve got my links where I want them right now, but would love what the homeschool toolbar offers.

Susan, it doesn’t replace any toolbars. It’s just an additional toolbar. That was why I didn’t want to download it; I didn’t want to replace or lose any of my other toolbars, either. If you don’t like it, you can always remove it, but I imagine it will find a happy home on your computer, too. :-)
