No, we haven’t forgotten to announce the winners…

by Administration on November 24, 2009

Sorry to prolong the suspense. We haven’t forgotten to announce the winners.

My mother used to say, “Every party has a pooper that’s why we invited you,” when the kids or grandkids started acting up during family gatherings. Unfortunately, there may have been some party poopers at the polls this year, stuffing the ballots.

We have an IT pro checking the polls. I’m sure he would rather be enjoying the holiday week with his family, but he’s kind enough to do this for us, just like last year. Results will be posted once we have his final totals.

Will some poll’s winners change? Quite possibly. If that happens, don’t assume that the original winner was involved in the cheating. We aren’t. The important thing is that the logs are checked carefully and that the results are honest and accurate.

Sorry for the delay.

What constitutes a ’stuffing’? My family couldn’t vote from our house, even though we have multiple computers. They had to go to the Verizon store. :P

I too would like to know what constitutes “cheating.” How do you decide that? Did your system even allow for multiple votes from a single computer?

want to remind you that you are several days behind your Homeschool Blog Award published schedule. Hope you are working on this.

Understand that you are all busy but it might marred your credibility if you delay more to announce the winners.

hm. thats funny- we had the same problem. Although there were three computers in our house, after I voted, my mother and sister tried from the other two computers and they were blocked as well… However, can’t wait to see hear the results!

Yes, I would really like to know who won for real too. Of course we were watching the polls as the minutes ticked down… we saw some of the categories jump by dozens of votes in a minute… as did some of my Twitter-friends. It was disheartening for those who were ahead by over 50 votes to see their blogs passed in the last 2 minutes of voting… seemed something was up.

I am anxious, but knowing how hard you all work and how you try really hard to get things all done fair and square… in a timely manner, I am waiting… well, at least more patiently than Eric is! :) )

Thanks for all your hard work. I know you all would give a prize to everyone if you could!

Glad you are putting so much into this to make it fair for all. We know you all have families and lives of your own!

be blessed!
