When I was 12, and my mom was 34, she was diagnosed with breast cancer after being told she was "too young to get it" and "too young for a mammogram". But she'd found a lump and she went in anyway. I have had mammograms since I was 25 by doctor recommendation because of my mother's early diagnosis. And I fight with the insurance every year about it. Yes, it's uncomfortable, a tad annoying, but it doesn't take long and you'll have peace of mind knowing one way or the other. Get screened! I heartily agree with you on this.
