When I was 12, and my mom was 34, she was diagnosed with breast cancer after being told she was &quot;too young to get it&quot; and &quot;too young for a mammogram&quot;.  But she&#039;d found a lump and she went in anyway. I have had mammograms since I was 25 by doctor recommendation because of my mother&#039;s early diagnosis. And I fight with the insurance every year about it. Yes, it&#039;s uncomfortable, a tad annoying, but it doesn&#039;t take long and you&#039;ll have peace of mind knowing one way or the other. Get screened!</description>
