Do your kiddos get obsessed with these little red guys? We have had an abundance of them in our backyard again this year, and my girls just love them! They build them homes, rescue them from puddles, transfer them from tree to tree, and create fanciful stories of their lives. We are even making lapbooks dedicated to these helpful little insects, with pictures, lifecycles, and some of the stories the girls have made up. We think Ladybugs are the best bugs!

Sad to say but I don’t think we’ve seen a single ladybug all year long!
But your picture reminds me of when I was in 3rd grade. There was this huge field at our elementary school. During recess we would all run and catch as many ladybugs as we could. When it was time to go in, our hands would be brown and we’d talk about how the bugs had pooped in it.
I know, terrible, huh? I guess I was destined to be a mom of boys!
