Attend a Homeschool Book Fair at Home!

by Sprittibee on July 14, 2009

HOTM ConferenceEver wanted to attend a homeschool conference but you just didn’t have the … time …. money …. gas … babysitter … etc ? You would be among the many! I have talked to quite a few homeschooling moms this year in our local co-op who have told me that they have NEVER been to a conference! I can’t imagine life without them… they truly inspire me, whether in real life or online. I need that extra pep they give in their pep-talks. I need the biblical exhortation and the tips. I need the camaraderie. I always feel so encouraged and inspired after I hear homeschool speakers talk.

The Heart of the Matter knows just how you feel. They are having an online Parenting & Home Education Conference August 3-7 2009…

Their  online conferences provide the average homeschool mom a way to attend a conference in the comfort of their own home. If you are like me, you don’t have much money for vendor tables anyway – so not having books to hold and look at is saving you from temptation (and saves the books from my drool).

If you can’t win a free ticket on Sprittibee, you can win one right here at The Homeschool Post!

We’re giving away FIVE free admission tickets.

Here’s how you can win a free ticket (leave a separate comment for each thing you do):

1. Comment here and tell us why you want to attend the conference.
2. Follow us on Twitter.
3. Follow us on Facebook (see the sidebar for our link).
4. Tweet about this contest and leave the url of your tweet in a comment.
5. Tell about this contest (with a link) on your Facebook page and leave us a link.
6. Subscribe to our email updates or feed (see the sidebar).
7. Blog about this post linking both the url of this post and the conference info in your post.
8. Put the Homeschool Post graphic 125×125 pixel button in your sidebar (see ‘Spread the Word’ in our sidebar to copy code).
9. Bookmark this post with Stumble or another page bookmarking site.

You have until 7/21/09 at midnight to enter (each of those items in a separate comment counts as one entry). The winner will be randomly selected using Random.org and listed in another post on Thursday, the 23rd. HOTM will then contact you with instructions on how to log in to the conference in August!

Don’t want to wait until next week to find out who won the contest? Want to make sure you get registered for one of the 1,000 spots NOW? The cost is only $12.95.

(If you missed last year’s conference, you can pick up the handouts, chat logs, and MP3s for only 9.95$, too!)

Hope we ‘see’ ya there!

Love in Him,

Sprittibee

I can’t participate in this conference due to being at Pre-Teen camp, but would love to win tickets for one of the members of home school group. I was also wondering if it might be possible to watch the conference at another time. I’m missing our local conference this year because of Camp. I could sure use a shot in the arm!

Thank you,
In HIS grip,
Bambi Dossey

I want to attend because I’ve never attended an online conference. I want to see what it’s like — and be inspired!

Thank you for sharing your experience. You have such wisdom! I am looking forward to learning more about school myself this year as it’s our first year homeschooling.

Snap! I just bought my tix! Oh well…I won mine last year {{thank you}}. I loved it so much, I decided the VERY reasonable price is TOTALLY worth it. Can’t wait!

Hi there, I’d love to attend since I’ve never been to a HS conference, and this is my first year of HS. I think it would be greatly beneficial for me to attend!

I so would love to win, only been to one book fair and never made it to the conferences. Planned on going this year but my husbands accident prevented me from attending any in Tx. I could use the pep talk.
