I am excited to join this group of ladies and to be a contributor at The Post. I have read and done the meme’s here for a couple of years now. I enjoy and am so looking forward to this years Homeschool Blog Awards that will begin soon! I love to see blogs I didn’t know about and love to see the brand new ones just getting started. I have made some great friendship by these great finds, as I am sure many of you have too.
These bios you have to write about yourself are always hard…but I will try to keep it short and not write a book on here!
I am first and foremost a Christian, a military wife and mother. I grew up as a military brat all over the USA and then married my Air Force husband Eric of 16 years. My Darling Husband has 1 1/2 years left until retirement (Lord willing) and then he will most likely become a full time Pastor. He pastored a church plant for almost 2 years and has an on-line ministry now. He also teaches the “new believers” class at our local church and has a huge heart for evangelism.
We have 2 beautiful teenage children that we home school and have since Pre-school. When everyone else was going off to Preschool we started too. I wanted to KNOW what I was doing by the time it really counted. We call our children by nicknames in the blog world: Fireman is our 15 year old son and is doing 9th grade this year. He wants to go in the Air Force and be a Fire Fighter. Ladybug is our 13 year old daughter, doing 8th grade, who wants to be a Mommy of many children when she grows up. She is planning on going to culinary school as it can only help her later in life! I can’t leave out Daisy, as she is a big part of the family. She is our almost 2 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

I am a photographer, and own Shots From the Heart Photography and I love to do what I call “Capturing the Fingerprints of God!” in my images. I also created a workshop called Mommytography, where I teach Mom’s how to take better pictures. Although I grew up all over, I consider the south my home. I love to scrapbook, stamp and create cards, and reading Historical Christian Fiction as a relaxation technique. I have a passion for teaching and especially Missions.
