NEW Bookmarks, Twitter, Facebook & Feed

I’m so glad I “found” you again! I’ve been getting emails from someone else with Homeschool Blog Awards in the subject line, but nothing but ad links in the body. Visited Sprittibee’s site tonight and read about your new address. Whew! I’m glad y’all are continuing to encourage and inspire us through your blog.

I don’t know, but I assume there are other friends out there that are not sure what happened to us here at the The Homeschool Post. I know for a fact that many of your old links which contain “homeschoolblogawards.com” in the url are now directing to an advertising site that stole our name to make money on links.

Somehow this “homeschool” advertising site was able to hijack our Feedburner subscription, too – so we know that many of you are also getting those emails that Molly mentioned. We are so sorry!!! Please click the link on the bottom of those emails where it allows you to unsubscribe and it will take you to Feedburner’s site (now owned by Google) where you can stop them from being delivered to your inbox. Half of our feeds were on an account that Dawn set up (those should be fine), but the other half were those which were hijacked by the spammer/advertiser.

We don’t want to give any publicity or linkage to that site because we feel that what they did was very underhanded, so we’re not linking to them here. We hate it that most of your links on your sidebars and in old posts will inadvertently send you to the ‘evil-ad-site’, but there’s nothing we can do about that aside from picking apart all of our blogs and searching for every mention of The Homeschool Blog Awards to fix old links. Maybe given enough time we will get those taken care of.

In the mean time, please re-direct your favorites, bookmarks, sidebar links, and email/feed subscriptions to the http://hsbapost.com url. You can resubscribe at the top of the blog on the right and edit your html sidebar links to replace ‘homeschoolblogawards.com’ with ‘hsbapost.com’. Email us if you have any questions or problems. We’d be glad to help.

And… while you are updating to our new URL, be sure to sign up for our Facebook Page so you can get updates from us via email and Facebook when we have contests, give-aways and swaps! We would love to be able to get to know our readers better by putting a ‘face’ with them!
