Can you believe there is only 26 letters in our entire alphabet? Only 26 letters that you can create thousands and thousands of words out of, and all those little words make up all sentences, paragraphs, articles, and books we read?
Mother Dear recently remembered she had a “Learn Hebrew” curriculum to review that came with a CD. We listened to it and then searched on YouTube for other videos on learning Hebrew. It might not be as hard as I thought. Aside from Hebrew I’d like to learn French and Spanish, but it’s gonna be a while. Haha… I’ve always been interested in foreign languages, and sadly I did spend about 6yrs learning a fantasy one that is now no use to me.
THEME
This week use the ABC’s to describe your character, your life, your homeschool, and your family. Next to each letter of the alphabet put a word that describes you or has something to do with you. It was very amusing and a bit tricky. Once you actually get to a letter your mind goes blank!

Hebrew is pretty easy to learn. It’s also a lot of fun.
That was fun!
I loved this one, though a few letters were hard to come up with words for. I will continue to work on the memoirs that I have missed so that I will have a complete memoir at the end of the school year – I want that passing grade and no incomplete!
I’ll come say hi and comment on your post, but alas . . . my DD and her hubby (and baby) are heading for Switzerland tomorrow (business trip), and DH and I will be sharing babysitting chores with Sean’s DM and DDad for a whole week. The homeschooling has fallen to me. So I’m afraid I have not time to “play” today with the ABCs. But I wanted to applaud your desire to learn a foreign language. Or more than one! Go for it! I had 5 years of German in high school. Then I learned Spanish when I was working with the hispanic community. And now . . .? 30 years after being fluent in German, it was all “use it or lose it” and I did. Lose it. HOWEVER, we all want to go to Germany and Switzerland next year (kids and all), so I got the Rosetta Stone in German to see if any “file folders” in my brain still had German in them. ASTONISHING!!!!!! It is all coming back, as quick as anything. It’s like I unlocked the folder and everything is still there, albeit in hibernation. I’m very excited.
So . . . learn Hebrew . . . and Spanish . . . and even Greek . . . and a Germanic language also. You, girl, are still young and relatively free to pursue all these interesting languages. (and I really like the Rosetta Stone!)
This sounds like tons of fun!
Whoops! I almost forgot to leave a comment. This was more challenging than it first seemed, but it was enjoyable. I had fun reading a few other blogger’s posts.
One day I’ll catch up on all these meme posts…. that will be the same day I’m caught up with the laundry, housekeeping, and bookwork… and the grading, planning, and bills.
I just joined in and that was fun. It really allowed me to think of our home and homeschool. Thanks
Yay! I loved this meme
I did two posts one about our homeschool and one about me.
