Sprittibee hates politics, yet she seems to be drawn to sharing her political opinion. No matter how many times she says she’s done with posting about politics, which I have said too, we both keep coming back to sharing how we feel about what’s taking place in America today. She also has a unit study post about the last election that has some super ideas you could use to teach your kids today.
Jacque Dixon has done some serious research on some politics that she shares at Walking Therein.
Spunky shares several political articles and how the nation is about to vote in someone who brings a great alarm to homeschooling parents throughout our nation, regardless of faith affiliations.
Many states are facing a vote in regards to marriage and Dana brings up a serious cultural question about discussing this issue with Christian children. I think you’ll find the article interesting, and be sure to read all the comments too.
Wayne, a homeschool dad, has some serious reservations about one of the candidates and it has nothing to do with his race.
Catholic homeschooling mom, Mary Beiver, shares her message to homeschoolers in this election.
Jennifer at Getting Ahead is telling how she is incoporating this election into their education and I think this article will bring a refreshing look at the homeschooling day in the midst of this grueling media event.
Among many homeschool moms who have decided to ignore the media onslaught and do their own homework in this election is Misty who shares her journey in finding her choice in this election.
Be sure to come by The Learning Legacy and take a gander at a great political lapbook dedicated to this election.
A young homeschool graduate who has taken this election with extreme importance, as it is her very first opportunity to get involved in her nation’s vote is Miss Amanda aka SuperAngel. I know this gal personally and I know she has spent countless hours doing her own homework and coming to her own conclusion about this election and I know she has prayed over her decision. I know many others who have done the same and I find it interesting to see that those of us that I have found, which have done just that are coming to the same conclusions. Be sure to see who Miss Amanda is voting for and why.
No matter who you decide to vote for please keep one thing in mind. We MUST pray about this election. Every state is facing different propositions that they feel are culturally and spiritually important to them.
Our nation must not be divided! We must, as homeschoolers and parents, make the BEST decision for the future generation. Please consider this Urgent Message to Pray this week before you head to the Polls on November 4th.

Lisa – I stumbled the post.. it looks really good, though I’ve not gotten to go look at all the links yet.
I have been praying over this election too, a great deal. I am at peace with my own decision and I do not think my vote was wasted or wrong because I know I sought God’s direction.
One thing we have to remember is that we don’t need to just be spiritual in our praying over the election, but what we need to be doing is walking with God constantly, much like Enoch was. Our prayers can’t just stop on November 5th. They must be never ceasing. God is in control. He puts the leaders He chooses into office, for whatever reason. We will better be able to discern God’s will and direction if we are walking with Him all the time. We may not like His choices, but we can learn to live with them better when we have a clearer understanding through communion.
God bless,
Sallie
Thanks Sallie. I am also at peace over my decision and I know that no matter who wins I will be happy with who I vote for. I know that I am accountable to God for how I vote and I have prayed and sought him on who I should vote for.
You’re right about our walk. God told us that we need to run from our wicked ways AND THEN he will hear from heaven and forgive our sin and heal our land. I wrote about just that at AGMinistries last week.
Great job pulling all of this together!
Thank you Dawn.
