It was really fun to get to meet all of you last week, and I’m so glad you all decided to join us! I know that the Homeschool Memoirs is only going to get more exciting and encouraging as each week goes by and new homeschoolers join us! I hope you were able to “get out” and meet a few new friends and be encouraged. I know I did and found a couple interesting blogs to re-visit.
THEME
This week’s theme is about sharing your 2008-09 homeschool agendas and plans. You’ve been preparing your plans for sometime and you’re ready to go. Or you’re still in the planning-stage and need some inspiration or tips on what to use. Because many use different curriculum and methods there is always something new to be gleaned from other homeschoolers. It’s always fun and interesting to see what other’s are using and the WWWWH as Robin Sampson suggests. So this week I hope you will share what you’re doing this year for your homeschool agenda. Share the different curriculum you’re using. You can also include what age/grade you’re using it for, how long you’ve been using it, and why you like it.
Please share a Bible verse that has encouraged you or inspired you during this planning-process, and how.
LINKY
Again, please enter in your DIRECT link to your HM post and not just your blog link. When others go back to look over the themes they will be able to go directly to your post rather than just your front page.
MY THEME:
Because I’m not yet a homeschool Mother I really can’t share my homeschool agenda with you. However, I’m going to send you over to my Mother Dear’s blog so you can read her homeschool agenda! I do know she has some great stuff planned for this year, and I hope I can accomplish what I need to as this is my senior year of high school.
“I love to plan. I am a planning queen. It is the follow-through that sometimes gets me! No, not really. We all need to have a little bit of latitude to change plans midstream and do what works, right? My biggest problem is not planning or even follow through, it’s remembering I actually have a plan, and that I can follow it if I get it out. I realized yesterday that there is a reason all my planning items are on the table and the floor… I need a desk to put it all there for me to work at! But I digress…”
Blessings!
Again, I’d love for you to come over and say hello at my blog, A Pondering Heart.

Thanks, Miss Jocelyn. I enjoyed this assignment. I appreciate you hosting this meme. Be blessed.
I am looking forward to attempting to write about this. I am even *more* interested in reading what others say. We started lessons for the new year July 1 so we’ve been on the bus for a while…

I am not a homeschool mom either, so I just put up a calendar of my extra-curricular actiivies, because there are so many of them. I guess you could say I was showing how my mom is really a super-mom!

Thanks for doing this meme, Jocelyn, it’s really neat to see what others are doing homeschool-wise.
I signed Mr. Linky.
What a blessing this meme is to me being a new homeschooler! I can’t wait to read all the ideas and glean from them.
Looking forward to reading these! Still trying to catch up with last week’s list of ladies. :O)
Checking in from across the Pacific! Thank you so much for giving my family the opportunity to join this meme. Best regards to everyone.
Jocelyn,
Can you please tell me how to find the codes in order to be able to put that picture icon thingy in my own entries? You know, that picture up there with the notepad and pen and the title for this week’s assignment. How do I embed it into my entries?
Thanks for humoring my ignorance.
Many Blessings,
Holly@aiminghigh
Hi I got my agenda posted.
Whew, this was quite an intense post for me, took me a while but not that its done gonna go check out other’s posts!
I posted and left the link in Mr Linky!!
It’s long but it just felt good to get stuff written out, so to speak, not to just implement.
Thanks for the opportunity to post our plans or un-plans as they may be. We’re going to the beach this afternoon and I’ll take my tablet (mini computer) with me to makes notes about scheduling and recording.
I design a very loose reading-based curriculum for our kiddos but my biggest challenge is figuring out how to record all the kid’s learning – they just don’t stop! We use a portfolio system but even keeping track of all the books we read sometimes seems like a full time job.
Maybe someone has tips?? That don’t require lots of time
I enjoyed this assignment ! It got what was running around in my head down on something concrete. [0= I think this is the longest writen post I have done in a while. lol
Blessings in Him<

This is great meme, Jocelyn. What a wonderful way to glean and encourage each other.
This is so great! Thanks for everything Jocelyn! I just got mine up and am looking forward to visiting friends!
Love ya!
Amanda
Mine’s up. I always feel like I write a book! LOL
I also feel like I was rather long winded again this week. I want to share it all with you! I’ve so enjoyed reading everyone’s posts!
Great theme! Just a heads up that your code isn’t working and now the banner itself isn’t showing up in the blogs.
Thought you might want to know, even if you don’t have the time or energy to fix it anytime soon.
Or it could be a HSB issue. ??? Not sure now.
I posted. What a blessing reflecting on this meme was to me! Thanks! I look forward to reading the other posts
Hi Jocelyn
I am enjoying this! Hope that you have a lovely week, Q
Well, it is posted but seems a bit short and I know we are doing more than I posted.
I hope you have a wonderful year!
btw… somehow, I ended up on the list twice. Not sure how it happened. Sorry!
This was a great topic… I am excited to hear what others have used for their planning.
On a sad note, I am so very sorry to hear about your friend’s child. My cousin recently lost her daughter and I know the anguish for those left behind.
It was good to review my plan – looking forward to reading others for ideas for next year!
Not only did I like seeing what others were doing, it felt good to sit down and come up with some goals for our schooling!
Got mine up
)
This has been a lot of fun and I’ve enjoyed looking at the blogs, the visitors, encouragement, etc!!! Thanks for the great ideas!
I’m a day late, but I finally got it written up today. I was busy yesterday chasing errant hens and bloodthirsty dogs.

I finally finished tweaking it (but I am sure I’ll come up with more changes). Thanks for making me post it!
Better late than never, I guess!
A great assignment!
Now that everyone knows my plan, I have to stick with it. LOL
Thank you for the great theme this week! It is so much fun to see what others are doing this year.
Finally finished!
Doing these out of order as I missed one, but I’m getting there
Love the challenge and look forward to reading other blogs
Wow! I’m only a week+ late on this one. And it’s just the second theme. Oh well, better late than never?!?!?!
I’ll get the next one up a little quicker.
Yay! I already had a post on this written so I hardly had to do anything! Gotta like it when that happens. Two more posts to go and I’m caught up!
