BUTTONS and Beginnings

Hi there blog world. The 2007 Blog Awards are getting under way. In October, we are giving you an assignment. Yeah, there aren’t any free rides around here any more. There are now 15 of us ladies working hard in the background to bring you the best Blog Awards ever!

Here is where you come in:

1. If you know of a great vendor (that you want FREE STUFF FROM) and you would like to suggest that they be contacted for prize sharing, LET US KNOW!

2. Start making a list (keep a notepad on your computer desk or in your laptop case) of all the GREAT homeschool blogs you go to so you won’t have a hard time thinking of them when nominations start next month.

3. SAVE the 2007 Homeschool Blog Awards icon on the left sidebar up there to your own PC. Upload it to your own Graphics and Post it in a post on your own blogs! Let everyone know that we are starting a great new blog program here that will hopefully be a year-round project to bring you the best of the best of the best of homeschool bloggers, encouragement, and helpful info!

4. Enjoy! Be sure to stop in each day to read what our team members are contributing.

We look forward to serving you and the homeschool blogosphere in general. We hope the 2007 awards are spectacular!

Thanks for your visits.

  1. Yeah!!! I would like to see someone give away some Amazon.com gift certificates!

  2. Sprittibee – I would love the chance to win a timeline album from Homeschool in the Woods. I’ve got my heart set on one (or two!) for next year.

  3. I found this site through, http://momisteaching.com/ By: Summer. I think this is a great idea. I have only one question. What if you a more than one blog that you find outstading? Do you have to choose between? Okay that was 2 questions.
    Thank you!

  4. Umm, there was an author that we were talking about last night. Her name is on the tip of my tongue. Anyway, I’m reminding you to contact her about donating some books.

  5. I’m willing to offer a custom pencil drawn portrait for a prize if anyone’s interested? See my etsy shop for details.

  6. My mom (Jill Novak) has some great products, she would probably be willing to donate a few issues of the Girlhood Home Companion. Her email is jillnovak(at)dls(dot)net, and her site is http://www.remembrancepress.com.

I am donating a free wordpress blog template.

As a separate prize I am also donating a custom made blog graphics set.

    2. I am a dollmaker, and I would happily support the HSBA by offering a gift certificate for a custom doll. You can see what I make at my Etsy shop.

  8. I’ll donate a Blog Banner as a prize.
You can see some of my samples in my profile.

  9. I went to a homeschoolers event today at my library and they were giving away copies of the magazine Homeschooling Parent. I had never heard of it before. Maybe the publishers would donate some subscriptions.
